1. How AI Works in BeReadyAI

BeReadyAI uses artificial intelligence to simulate realistic practice conversations. In each session:

  • You practice conversations with AI-generated characters powered by OpenAI (GPT) and Google (Dialogflow).
  • The AI generates realistic responses and scenarios.
 

After each session, the AI evaluates your communication skills against a professional rubric and provides written feedback.

The AI does not provide real clinical guidance, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. It is a practice tool only. 


2. What AI Does NOT Do

It is important to understand what AI cannot do:

  • AI does NOT diagnose, treat, or provide medical or clinical advice.
  • AI does NOT assess your clinical competency or fitness for professional practice.
  • AI does NOT make licensing, credentialing, or employment decisions.
  • AI does NOT replace professional supervision, consultation, or oversight.
  • AI does NOT verify information against clinical databases or current clinical guidelines.

3. AI Limitations — Be Aware

AI is powerful but imperfect. Be aware of these limitations:

  • AI Hallucination: AI can generate plausible-sounding but completely false information. Always verify feedback with a qualified supervisor.
  • Inaccuracy: AI feedback may be incomplete, incorrect, or inconsistent with professional best practices.
  • Bias: AI may perform differently across accents, dialects, cultural communication styles, and demographic groups.
  • No Emergency Detection: AI cannot detect genuine emergencies. If you or someone you know is in crisis, contact 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline or emergency services immediately.

4. Important: Do Not Enter Real Patient Information

BeReadyAI is designed for practice with simulated scenarios only. NEVER enter real patient information, including:
  • Real patient names or pseudonyms.
  • Medical record numbers or identifiers.
  • Diagnoses or clinical details about real patients.
  • Protected health information (PHI) of any kind.
 
If you accidentally disclose real patient information, notify your supervisor immediately and email [email protected] to request deletion.

5. Your Data and the AI

Your session transcripts are sent to OpenAI and Google to generate responses and feedback.

Here’s what happens to your data:

  • OpenAI and Google process your data under their respective API data policies, which provide that API data is not used to train AI models.
  • Session transcripts are retained by us for 90 days, then permanently deleted.

6. Not Validated as an Assessment Tool

BeReadyAI has NOT been independently validated against professional communication standards, licensing board requirements, or clinical best practices. It is a practice tool, not an assessment tool. Always verify AI feedback with a qualified supervisor before applying it to real professional situations.
